It’s exposed brick wall adds warmth and history, as does one of the original corner bathrooms. If you’re a “ghost-hunter”, some folks say they “hear things” or “feel a presence” in this room. *Captain James Lawrence was the namesake of Perry’s original ship in the Battle of Lake Erie (September 10th, 1813). His dying words, “Don’t give up the ship!”, were sewn into a wool flag by local ladies a few months before the battle. Perry carried this flag with him when he & his men escaped the sinking ship during battle. Perry then fought on the USS Niagara to defeat the British. *Amenities: * tub / shower * Satellite TV * Free in-room Wi-fi *charming sink preserved in the room * * coffee-maker * Gourmet House Coffee – African Smoke * hairdryer upon request * iron & ironing board upon request * oscillating fan * complimentary local paper upon request * vintage tile floor in bathroom * clock radio
